The artist imagination is captivated by a lot of things, but Donald finds inspiration in music, and through his faith in God and the peace it mirrors in the natural world. He is fascinated by the way light interacts in nature and how it brings out color. Having time to paint en plein air and in the studio has been a great source of pleasure for him as well as being active in his local community as a co-chair of the Tehachapi Arts Commission and member of the Tehachapi Hospital Arts Committee.
