“Giddy Up Little Doggie” Landscape
24x30 Oil $6200
Artist Statement:
Giddy Up Little Doggie: Visiting the Milano Ranch always gives way to some great inspiration of all the work that goes into a ranch. I spotted the pond with the cattle when I first got there to paint but most had moved on a different direction. I really didn't know that I was in for a treat when the owner saddled up his horse and tried to move the cattle towards the water hole. Well I was able to capture a few moments that I felt were very important for this painting, but the cattle had something else in mind as they moved on down the way, barely to be seen. The life of a plein air artist, painting on location.

“Me and My Shadow”
24x18 Oil $3200
Artist Statement:
I first met Mindy 4 years ago on the Sutton ranch. They rescued her many years ago and because she is part of their family she acts more like a dog than a donkey. When I paint on this ranch she always finds me. She leans against me while I paint and when she is in a funny mood she tries to eat my easel, steal my paints and has even dragged my gear for more attention. I always take a lot of pictures of her as her antics are so darn cute. When I saw the image of her with the shadow on her back I knew it would be ideal and fitting of our relationship. Me and my shadow Mindy.

“Spring Time Color” Urban
8x10 Oil $900
Artist Statement:
Tehachapi has some unique neighborhoods and this one was of no exception. The California poppies were blooming in many areas but this house had them all along the sidewalk and mixed in with their own flower gardens. Anyone who knows me as a plein air artist, knows this would hit my fancy.
