“Dorner Vineyard Sunset”
12x16 Oils $1000
Artist Statement:
New grape leaves are seen on the Dorner Family Vineyard vines as the sun sets beyond the distant cottonwood trees on a balmy spring evening. A large oak limb canopies above. Wires glisten in the late sunlight stretching across the vines and providing structure for the new growth.
“Tehachapi Winter”
9x12 Oil $800
Artist Statement:
A hawk surveys the dormant fields of a farm which contains an orchard and some farm equipment seen in the red limbs of the trees and the yellow tractor in the mid-distance. On the distant hills, sun spots break through the heavy clouds hovering above. This was painted on a very cold January morning. I remember shivering but feeling determined to capture the natural colors of the day.
“Spring Mustard Fields”
28x22 Oils $1700
Statement:
This panoramic scene at the San Gabriel River highlights the spring growth of wild yellow/green mustard in the riverbed after heavy rains. Bushy trees cast long shadows in the late afternoon sunlight. The distant Mt Baldy still has remnants of snow from recent rainstorms.
