“Cottonwood Canopy”
8X10 Oil $900
Artist statement:
Down from the mountain is a Cottonwood canopy, that shades the beautiful souls of horses and mules who await the upcoming season where they will work at the pack station. They rest, eat, and play under the trees freely until they are guided back to the majestic trails once again. I found peace while visiting the herd and observing them on one beautiful sunny day and knew I wanted to paint this feeling to share with others.

“Moving The Herd”
11X14 Oil $1600
Artist statement:
There is something about watching a herd of cattle being moved from one place to another, with a horse and rider guiding them across the open plains. I love to observe the expressions on their faces and watch the calves get excited about keeping up. The warmth of the sun on the grass along with the beautiful backdrop of the Tehachapi maintains made it a scene I wanted to remember, and I’m so happy to relive the moment through a painting.

“Pasture Bedtime”
12X16 Oil $2000
Artist statement:
I created this scene of a small family of horses the way I Imagined them resting in the night. Among a bed of sagebrush, with the stars above glistening reflections into their softly opening eyes, and the moonlight striking the bright of their coats and blazes. They dream about their days of sun bathing, grazing, and being together, a day in the life that they love.
