Artist Statement:
A traveler just passing through this life, picking up and letting go. Honor for the past, hope for the future. For this still life I aged and distressed the wooden background, painting and staining it. I created the bag by hand and antiqued it to look like an artifact.

This painting is a still life of a plains indian style strike-a-light bag that I made by hand and antiqued to look very old. To simulate an adobe wall I plastered, painted and aged a panel completing the effect.
