On a drive above Tehachapi, late in the day, the oaks formed patterns on the hills, fading back into the atmosphere as they moved farther away.

The visit to see the wild Morgan Horses coming down to eat hay in the springtime was breathtaking. I walked a little farther into the valley and was amazed by the lush wildflowers nourished by the water from the wet earth, which was seeping into my shoes.
